Club Meeting 24th September 2008

26 members attended our first meeting of the winter programme.

Welcomed by our president, Michael Voice he then announced the public choice of photographs displayed at the exhibition last week, they were Ian Whittaker,Kathryn Carter and Tim Nicols.

Introducing professional photographers Richard Jemison and Nigel Whitfield who gave us a preview of the photographs in their third book " Teesway 199 " a journey by the River Tees. 70 excellent photos, an eclectic mix of superb landscapes, ancient artifacts and other images in which they applied an unconventional photographic approach. Combined with a robust narrative, technical tips and audience participation it was a first class start to our season. I might even open my wallet for this book...

Members then enjoyed a tasty finger buffet while chatting and paying subscriptions.

Next Monday there is a Practical Camera evening, a chance to make better use of your own camera by questioning the experts....7 30pm at the Hugh Ripley Hall, all welcome.
